I try to book tours with short distances, because I don’t want the bands to be stressed out before the show and spend all their fees on petrol or road tax again. It’s also important for the organizers of the shows, because they don’t have to worry about the band arriving too late.
I understand the needs of artists, venues and local promoters and I want the shows to be a great experience for everybody.
Here you can see what services I provide.
First of all: Please understand that I cannot respond to all the requests. I’m working on my own, I have to do other jobs in order to make a living and I’m really busy with booking tours for the bands which already are in my roster.
It only makes sense to use a booking agency if the band has already built up a certain level of popularity. Even for an agency it’s really difficult to find gigs for an unknown band. Even the most promising bands find it very tough to cover their expenses on the first couple of tours. Yes, I also work with unknown bands, but I can only do that for a few bands, because I’m practically working for free then.
Booking and promoting a tour is much easier if the band gets support from a label or promotion agency or if they can promote themselves professionally.
I don’t work with right-wing (related) rock bands or bands which are open to a right wing audience. Also racism, sexism or homophobia have no place in my booking agency.
I’m not impressed by business talk and I really don’t like rock star behavior.
I cannot help you to fill gaps on your tour, because booking shows for the bands in my roster and renting out the tour vans takes up all my time. I also cannot give out the contact details of people who organize shows (because they would hate me for that – and quite rightly).
The touring bands are usually supported by local acts. Sometimes I help the local promoters to find a support for a show.
