Die Mitglieder der P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. sind bzw. waren unter anderem bei Dead Moon, Defiance, Resist, Detestation, Pierced Arrows, Severed Head Of State etc. aktiv. Diese fünf kaputten Existenzen aus Portland brauchen aber keine großen Namen, sondern überzeugen mit qualitativ hochwertigem, dreckigem Sound zwischen Punkrock, Hardcore und Garage.
Mit einer Handvoll Alben und Single Veröffentlichungen haben sie sich nicht nur in Portlands blühender Punkszene einen Namen gemacht, sondern auch quer durch die USA, Europa und Mexiko.
Auch nach fast 80 Shows in Europa in den Jahren 2015 und 2016 können sie es nicht lassen, und kommen im Herbst 2017 wieder für eine ausgedehnte Tour mit neuem Sänger, ihrer neuen Single "Enemy Spy" und einer brandneuen LP!

Anarcho Punk / Anarcho Punk / Punk Rock
Die Subhumans gründeten sich 1980 und sind mit Crass und Conflict eine der wichtigsten Bands der britischen Anarcho/Peace-Punk Bewegung.
Musikalische Einflüsse waren zum einen die Sex Pistols, Damned und ähnliche Punk-Originale, zum anderen aber auch Prepunk-Bands wie King Crimson und Frank Zappa. Diese Mischung ergab einen Stil, der in seiner Struktur komplizierter als der seiner Zeitgenossen war, aber die Energie und Dynamik des Punks bewahrt.
Dick Lucas' intelligente Texte prägen die politische Ausrichtung der Band, wobei er in seinen Songs nicht nur dazu aufruft, soziale und politische Missstände zu kritisieren, sondern auch dazu, sie zu verbessern.
Die ersten drei EPs der Subhumans und ihre erste LP "The Day The Country Died " wurden schnell zu Klassikern. 1983 gründeten sie Bluurg Records, wo sie ihre Aufnahmen bis heute selbst veröffentlichen.
Nach zahlreichen Tourneen in den USA und Europa lösten sich die Subhumans 1985 auf, um fast in der selben Besetzung als Citizen Fish weiterzumachen. Seit der Subhumans Reunion im Jahr 1998 spielen sie in beiden Bands parallel, oft auch zusammen auf Festivals. Die Subhumans veröffentlichten seitdem ihr neues Album "Internal Riot" und touren regelmäßig in den USA, Europa und Australien.
Subhumans-Aufnäher schmücken bis heute die Jacken der Punks auf der ganzen Welt. Die Queens of the Stone Age veröffentlichten 2004 ein Cover des Subhumans Klassikers "Wake up Screaming", und die Regisseurin Asia Argento (Tochter von Dario Argento) hat die Musik der Subhumans in ihrem Film "The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things" verwendet.

"Wer hätte gedacht, dass uns die SUBHUMANS noch mal ein Album bescheren? Denn Gerüchten zufolge taten sie sich nur wieder zusammen, um live zu spielen... Erst vor kurzem haben sie ihre Europa-Tournee beendet, und sie klingen immer noch so wie in den Achtzigern. Das gilt für ihre Gigs und auch für das neue Album. In den über 25 Jahren hat Sänger Dick kein bisschen an Energie und Ausstrahlung verloren. Auf jeden Fall hört sich „International riot“ nicht anders an, als die Klassiker vergangener Zeiten und steht ihnen in nichts nach. Also Anarcho-Punk vom Allerfeinsten mit vielen eingängigen und melodischen Parts. Vom politischen Engagement her wurden sie gerne in einem Atemzug mit Bands wie CRASS und CONFILCT genannt. Nur, dass die SUBHUMANS um einiges geradliniger vom Sound her waren. Ihre politische Einstellung und ihre soziale Ader zeigte sich auch den Fans gegenüber, so waren Konzertkarten immer erschwinglich und auf ihren Platten stand „pay no more than 3,5 pounds“. Doch dieses Verhalten sorgte nicht nur für glückliche Fans, die SUBHUMANS waren nie so erfolgreich wie zum Beispiel die SEX PISTOLS oder THE CLASH. Sie sind sich eben immer treu geblieben und haben sich nie verkauft. Ach ja, so geht es auch. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr begeistert vom aktuellen Machwerk der SUBHUMANS, das in einem schönen Digipack daherkommt."

Bruce's rasping punk rock guitar completes the perfect backdrop for Dick's passionate delivery - he works himself up into a sweatshod frenzy as the band hit the stage in top gear and never leave that level of intensity. If you still need any proof of the intelligence and anti establishment smarts in punk rock then the Subhumans are still out there, still meaning something and still making sense in a senseless world."

Zwei Schwedinnen und zwei Engländerinnen haben sich als einer der aufregendsten neuen Live-Acts einen Namen gemacht.
The Franklys spielen psychedelischen Garage Rock mit einem Hauch von den Runaways, Led Zeppelin und Blondie. Dabei kombinieren sie dunkle und schwere Riffs mit stürmischen Bühnenauftritten.
Sängerin Jen Ahlkvist, Gitarristin Fanny Broberg, Bassistin Zoe Biggs und Schlagzeugerin Lexi Clark tourten bereits ausgiebig durch Großbritannien, Europa und die USA, inklusive Auftritten auf den Isle of Wight und Download Festivals und als Support für Airbourne. 2017 veröffentlichten sie ihr Debütalbum "Are You Listening?"
2018 absolvierten The Franklys gleich vier Europa-Touren und veröffentlichten 2019 ihre neue EP „Framed“.

"From the opening track ‘Castaway’ on The Frankly’s debut album 'Are You Listening' you are instantly captured by the all girl band. The sound is pure garage and has a great pop feel to it. The 4 members, half Swedish half British, have a hint of The Runaways and certainly provide a raw edge that is present throughout the album. The mix of strong heavy riffs with the straight talking lyrics is captivating to listen to and it’s all held together with the steady bass provided by Zoe Biggs and Clark’s drums which creates something that is rare to hear in music at the moment. It is an album I haven’t stopped listening to since I first turned it on and I’ll certainly be trying to catch them on their UK tour this month! 'Are You Listening?' is an unequivocal triumph. The Restarts spielen einzigartigen Thrash- und Anarcho-Punk mit Ska-Breaks und Pogo-auslösenden Basslines, der Ihnen eine treue Fangemeinde von Punk-Liebhabern jeden Alters einbrachte. Mit rücksichtsloser Hingabe spielen sich die Restarts seit 1995 durch Europa, Süd- und Nordamerika, Australien und Südostasien. Dabei halten sie stets den DIY-Geist des Punk-Rocks lebendig.
Sie teilten die Bühne mit Schwergewichten der Punkszene wie Steve Ignorant's Crass, Jello Biafra & GSM, Millions of Dead Cops, The Casualties, den Star Fucking Hipsters und den Subhumans.
