Don’t be sad when the summer is over – because in fall the wonderful singer-songwriter Louise Distras will tour with a full band in Europe! Louise Distras channels her anger, hopes and fears into anthems of love and fury for yet another let down generation. Ticking both the post-punk and pop boxes with explosive lyrics and riotous sonic disposition, Distras’ live shows are “high energy face rippers that stand out like a meteor”.

Exciting news! Cheetah Chrome, the original Dead Boys guitarist, will come to Europe for a few shows in August and then again in October 2016! Turbo Booking is happy to help. 🙂
Cheetah Chrome’s explosive songwriting and raw tone influenced an entire generation of players and has been reflected in some most revered and popular bands including The Hellacopters, The Darkness, Powder Monkeys or Supersuckers.
From cutting his chops and being an architect for the US punk rock sound in Cleveland, Ohio with Rocket from The Tombs to relocating to New York City as a founding member of one of the most prolific punk rock bands of the genre, The Dead Boys.
In Fall 2016, Cheetah Chrome will be returning to Europe to embark on a tour across mainland Europe. With “The Knobs” Cheetah has recruited a quality cast of band mates who have aligned themselves with his style and have brought his influence to their country, Tony Leewenburgh aka “Tony Slug” (BGK, Nitwitz, The Hydromatics, Loveslug, The Spades), Theo Brouwer (Lords Of Altamont, The Nitwitz, The Hydromatics) and Ries Doms (The Kik, The Hydromatics, Powervice, The Spades).

Portland’s hottest new roots-country four piece “Jenny Don’t and the Spurs” will come back to Europe after only six months, because we all had too much fun with the country experience! Featuring Jenny Don’t (Don’t, Ladies Of The Night), Kelly Halliburton (P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., Pierced Arrows), JT Halmfilst (Thee Headliners, Audios Amigos) and Sam Henry (Wipers, Rats, Napalm Beach, Don’t)! While the sound of the Spurs is original and draws from deep wells of personal experience, the band pays stylistic homage to the greats of the genre – Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams Sr., Loretta Lynne, and all the rest of the real players from the 1940s and 50s…

Thank you all for organizing and watching the alltogether 63 shows of Don’t and the P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. from January till March! Luckily Jenny (Don’t), Kelly (P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., Dead Moon etc.) and Sam (Don’t, Ex-Wipers) are staying for 19 more shows with their fantastic roots country band Jenny Don’t and the Spurs!
Unfortunately The Veggers and Reddot had to cancel their Switzerland and Italy shows in April. Two members of the Veggers didn’t perform their military service yet and the Korean government only allows them to travel to one country.
CANCELLED:
Apr/15/16 CH – Basel, Off Bar
Apr/17/16 CH – Biel, Schrottbar
Apr/18/16 CH – Zürich, Boschbar
Apr/19/16 IT – Turin, El Paso
Luckily I found some new places where they can play – many thanks to all the local promoters!
I’m stoked to announce that Turbo Booking now helps the terrific Steakknife (Hardcore Punk from Saarbrücken with legendary singer Lee Hollis from the Spermbirds) with bookings outside Germany!
Let Lee Hollis speak for himself: “We‘ve been doing this forever. 22 years I think. At least long enough to put an eight year distance between ‘One Eyed Bomb’ and our last record ‘Parallel Universe of the Dead’. So yeah, forever. Steakknife has always felt like ‘the right thing to do’. Even on the worst day of the shittiest tour in the middle of winter and ‘Fuck everyone in and OUTSIDE of this BUS!’ we were all in that bus because it was ‘the right thing TO DO.’ Because the music we make is the music we listen to. I wrote that about fifteen years ago and it‘s still true today.”
Turbo Booking is busy as a bee. I’m preparing eight tours right now for Portland’s admirable and adorable Don’t, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. and Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, also for Feral Kizzy‘s wonderful wave/dark pop which always reminds me of the B-52’s, another tour for the very special all-girl post punk/noise pop band Punčke from Croatia and last but not least for the Veggers, Reddot and the Dead Buttons, the first Korean punk bands ever touring in Germany!
Sorry, I have to increase the price for the tour van rental from December 1st, 2015. At the moment it’s not even possible to cover the costs for insurance, maintenance and repair from 75 € per day let alone making any profit. As it is really important for me that the vans always are in a very good condition, I have to take 80 € per day in future and see how it is going from there. There are still no extra costs for navigation device, additional drivers, fully comprehensive insurance, winter tyres, fine processing and final cleaning!
