I’m stoked to announce that Turbo Booking is now handling international bookings for Steakknife (Hardcore Punk from Saarbrücken with legendary singer Lee Hollis from the Spermbirds)!

Steakknife has always felt like ‘the right thing to do’. Even on the worst day of the shittiest tour in the middle of winter and ‘Fuck everyone in and OUTSIDE of this BUS!’ we were all in that bus because it was ‘the right thing TO DO.’ Because the music we make is the music we listen to. I wrote that about fifteen years ago and it‘s still true today.”
Turbo Booking is busy as a bee. I’m preparing eight tours right now for Portland’s Don’t, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. and Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, also for Feral Kizzy‘s wave/dark pop whose sound always reminds me of the B-52’s, another tour for the exceptional all-girl post-punk/noise-pop band Punčke from Croatia and last but not least for the Veggers, Reddot and the Dead Buttons, the very first Korean punk bands ever to tour Germany!
Unfortunately, I need to raise the rental price for the tour van starting December 1st, 2015.
At the current rate of €75 per day, it’s no longer possible to cover the costs of insurance, maintenance, and repairs — let alone make any profit. Since it’s very important to me that the vans remain in excellent condition, the new rate will be €80 per day.
I’ll see how things go from there and will continue doing my best to keep the service fair and affordable.
The good news:
There are still no extra charges for GPS, additional drivers, full comprehensive insurance, winter tyres, fine processing, or final cleaning!
Sad news: Due to guitarist Bruce undergoing heart surgery, all Subhumans shows scheduled for September 2015 have been cancelled.
He’s doing okay, but will need at least two weeks to recover. Get well soon, Bruce — we’re all thinking of you!

Jenny Don’t and the Spurs will tour Europe in April 2016. Jenny from Don’t, Sam from the Wipers, Kelly from Dead Moon, Pierced Arrows, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. etc. are Portland’s hottest new roots-country trio. They bring a variety of musical styles and a formidable wealth of experience to the stage. Live, the trio concentrates on playing a set of mostly original songs, bolstered by a few choice classic covers (Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb…).
